with a count rate of 37kBq.

  The orange glow around the tube is light from the filament/cathode.




Uranium glass illuminated with UV light.    
The glass fluoresces with a distinctive green colour    
when illuminated with UV light.    
Uranium glass is harmless - having little or no emitted radioactivity.
